Boris Fogelman's compositions for piano and string ensemble are timeless masterpieces that convey a range of emotions to the audience. From solemn to playful, from melancholy to lighthearted, they share their thorough compositional craftsmanship and thoughtful instrumentation. Fogelman's waltzes are proof of the versatility the classical musical form of the waltz actually possesses and his non-waltz pieces on the album are made with equal care and musicianship. Recorded with musicians of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, great sopranos and some musicians outside the Orchestra.
